MYERSCOUGH, a township in that part of the
parish of LANCASTER which is in the hundred of
AMOUNDERNESS, county palatine of LANCASTER, 4
miles (S.) from Garstang, containing 557 inhabitants. A
free school is endowed with land producing a considerable
annual income, the gift of an unknown benefactor.
