(S. by E.) from Wingham, containing 730 inhabitants.
The living is a perpetual curacy, with that of Womenswold,
in the archdeaconry and diocese of Canterbury,
and in the patronage of the Archbishop of
Canterbury. The church, dedicated to St. Mary,
is principally in the early style of English architecture.
