NORTHMOOR, a parish in the hundred of CHADLINGTON,
county of OXFORD, 6 miles (W. S.W.) from
Oxford, containing 366 inhabitants. The living is a
perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry and diocese of
Oxford, endowed with £ 1100 private benefaction, £400
royal bounty, and £900 parliamentary grant, and'in the
patronage of the President and Fellows of St. John's
College, Oxford. The church is dedicated to St. Denis.
