NORTON (PUDDING), a parish in the hundred of
GALLOW, county of NORFOLK, 1 mile (S.) from Fakenham,
containing 14 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of
Norwich, rated in the king's books at £ 6, and in the
patronage of Thomas Wright, Esq. Of the church, which
was dedicated to St. Margaret, there are no remains, except
a small square tower.
