miles (S. by W.) from Gravesend, containing 33 inhabitants.
The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry
and diocese of Rochester, rated in the king's
books at £4. 15., endowed with £200 private benefaction,
and £ 200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of
H. Edmeads, Esq. The church, dedicated to St. Mildred,
is a small decayed building with a square western
tower.
