OLDRIDGE, a chapelry in the parish of ST-THOMAS-the-APOSTLE, hundred of WONFORD, county of DEVON 3 miles (S. by W.) from Crediton. The population is returned with the parish. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Exeter; endowed with £200 private benefaction, £800 royal bounty, and £200 parliamentary grant, and in the patronage of the Vicar of Tavistock. The chapel was erected at the expense of James Buller and the late Giles Yarde, Esqrs.
