ORBY, a parish in the Marsh division of the wapentake
of CANDLESHOE, parts of LINDSEY, county of
LINCOLN, 6 miles (E. by N.) from Spilsby, containing
382 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in
the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the
king's books at &Q. 19. 4., and in the patronage of the
Bistiop of Lincoln. The church is dedicated to All
Saints. There is a place of worship for Baptists.
