OTTERHAMPTON, a parish in the hundred of
CANNINGTON, county of SOMERSET, 5 miles (N. W.)
from Bridg-water, containing 221 inhabitants. The
living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of
Taunton, and diocese of Bath and Wells, rated in the
king's books at £13. 6., and in the patronage of J.
Evered, Esq. The navigable river Parret bounds the
parish on the east.
