OWLPEN, a parish in the upper division of the hundred of BERKELEY, county of GLOUCESTER, 3 miles (E.) from Dursley, containing 232 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the rectory of Newington-Bagpath, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Gloucester. The church has lately received an addition of sixty sittings, of which forty are free, the Incorporated Society for the enlargement of churches and chapels having .granted £50 towards defraying the expense.
