PADDLESWORTH, a parish, joint with Snodland,
in the hundred of LARKFIELD, lathe of AYLESFORD,
county of KENT, 6 miles (S.W.) from Rochester. The
population is returned with Snodland. The living is a
rectory, united at an early period to that of Snodland,
in the archdeaconry and diocese of Rochester, rated in
the king's books at A3. 6. 8. The church has been
destroyed, and the inhabitants have married, baptized,
and buried at Snodland since the reign of Elizabeth.
