county of SUFFOLK, 5 miles (E.N. E.) from
Bury St. Edmund's, containing 928 inhabitants. The
living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of
Sudbury, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's
books at £10. 3. 9., and in the patronage of Lord Calthorpe.
The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
