PARR, a township in the parish of PRESCOT, hundred
of WEST-DERBY, county palatine of LANCASTER,
3 miles (W. by S.) from Newton in Mackerfield, containing
1523 inhabitants. It adjoins the eastern part
of the town of St. Helen's.
