PASTON, a parish in the hundred of TUNSTEAD, county of NORFOLK, 4 miles (N. E.) from North Walsham, containing 238 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £6. 13. 4., endowed with £400 royal bounty, and in the patronage of Lord Viscount Anson. The church is dedicated to St. Margaret. Near it are the ruins ot the old hall and chapel belonging to the Paston family.
