PELSALL, a chapelry in that part of the parish of WOLVERHAMPTON which is in the southern division of the hundred of OFFLOW, county of STAFFORD, 3 miles (N.) from Walsall, containing .579 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the jurisdiction of the royal peculiar court of Wolverhampton, endowed with £200 private benefaction, and £400 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Dean of Windsor. The chapel is dedicated to St. Michael. The Essington and Wyrley canal passes through the parish.
