PERRAN-ARWORTHAL, a parish in the hundred
of KERRIER, county of CORNWALL, 4 miles (N.) from
Penryn, containing 1362 inhabitants. The living is a
perpetual curacy, annexed to the vicarage of Stithians,
in the archdeaconry of Cornwall, and diocese of Exeter.
The church is dedicated to St. Piran. There is a place
of worship for Wesleyan Methodists. This parish includes
part of Perran-Wharf, or Perran-Cove, inFalmouth
harbour/to which there is a rail-road communicating
with the Redruth and Gwennap mines. Here is
