PIERRE (ST.), a parish in the upper division of the hundred of CALDICOTT, county of MONMOUTH, 3 miles (S. W. by S.) from Chepstow, containing, with the hamlet of Runston, 81 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, annexed to that of Portscuett, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Llandaff, rated in the king's books at £3. 12. S., and endowed with £200 royal bounty.
