PIRTON, a parish in the upper division of the hundred of PERSHORE, county of WORCESTER, 4 miles (N. N. W.) from Pershore, containing 214 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, united to that of Croom-D'Abitot, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Worcester, rated in the king's books at £8. 3., and in the patronage of the Earl of Coventry. The church is dedicated to St. Peter.
