county of SOMERSET, 4 miles
(S. byW.) from Taunton, containing, with the tythings
of Blagdon, Duddlestone, Fulford, Leigh, Poundisford,
and Trendle, 1416 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Taunton, and diocese of
Bath and Wells, rated in the king's books at £ 1"5. 10.5.,
and in the patronage of F. Grey Cooper, Esq. The church
is dedicated to St. Andrew and St. Mary. There is a
place of worship for Independents.
