PLUMSTEAD (GREAT), a parish in the hundred
of BLOFIELD, county of NORFOLK, 5 miles (E.) from
Norwich, containing 288 inhabitants. The living is a
perpetual curacy, in the peculiar jurisdiction and patronage
of the Dean and Chapter of Norwich, endowed
with £600 royal bounty, and £200 parliamentary grant.
The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
