county of BUCKINGHAM, 4 miles (S. W.) from Buckingham,
containing, with the hamlet of Cowley, 396
inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry
of Buckingham, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the
king's books at £11. 9. 4., and in the patronage of
T. W. Coke, Esq. The church is dedicated to St. John
the Baptist.
