PULHAM (ST-MARY-the-VIRGIN), a parish in the hundred of EARSHAM, county of NORFOLK, 2 miles (N. W.) from Harleston, containing 79? inhabitants. The living is a rectory, with the perpetual curacy of Pulham St. Mary Magdalene, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in, the Icing's books at £33.6.8., and in the patronage of the Crown. The church is adorned with numerous shields, also a great quantity of imagery of stone; and the east window exhibits emblems of the Trinity, &c., in stained glass. A rent-charge of £ 5, the bequest of William Pennoyer, in 1670, is applied for teaching poor children.
