QUEENIBOROUGH, a parish in the eastern division of the hundred of GOSCOTE, county of LEICESTER, 6 miles (N.E. by N.) from Leicester, containing 469 inr habitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Leicester, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £8, endowed with £200 private benefaction, and £200 royal bounty. E. L. Loveden, Esq. was patron in 1802. The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
