RAMSYDE, or RAMPSIDE, a chapelry in the parish of DALTON-in-FURNESS, hundred of LONSDALE, north of the sands, county palatine of LANCASTER, 5 miles (S. byE.) from Dalton, with which the population is returned. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry of Richmond, and diocese of Chester, endowed with £800 royal bounty, and £ 1400 parliamentary grant, and in the patronage of the Vicar of Dalton.
