RANBY, a parish in the northern division of the wapentake of GARTREE, parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 65 miles (E. by N.) from Wragby, containing 121 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £4. 13. 4., endowed with £200 private bene- faction, £ 1000 royal bounty, and £300 parliamentary grant, and in the patronage of Miss A. Otter. The church is dedicated to St. German.
