RANWORTH, a parish in the hundred of WALSHAM, county of NORFOLK, 4 miles (N. W.) from Acle, containing, with Panxworth, 352 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, with that of Upton united, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £4, endowed with £400 royal bounty, and in the patronage of- the Bishop of Ely. The church is dedicated to St. Helen.
