REARSBY, a parish in the eastern division of the
hundred of GOSCOTE, county of LEICESTER, 7 miles
(N. E. by N.) from Leicester, containing 451 inhabitants.
The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Leicester,
and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the Icing's books at
£ 17. 9. 7., and in the patronage of the Rev. N. Morgan.
The church is dedicated to St. Michael. There is a
place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists. Two trifling
bequests by the Rev. John Orton and Mrs. Faunt are
applied for teaching poor children.
