REDLYNCH, a chapelry in the parish of BRUTON, and hundred of BRUTON, county of SOMERSET, 2 miles (S. E. by S.) from Bruton, containing 93 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to that of Bruton, in the archdeaconry of Wells, and diocese of Bath and Wells, endowed with £600 royal bounty, and £200 parliamentary grant. The chapel is dedicated to St. Peter. Redlynch gives the inferior title of baron to the Earl of Ilchester.
