The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Leicester, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £ 12. 9. 2., and in the patronage of the Duke of Rutland. The church is dedicated to St. Peter. The Grantham canal crosses the parish on the north-west side.
