RENDHAM, a parish in the hundred of PLOMESGATE, county of SUFFOLK, 2 miles (N. W.by W.) from Saxmundham, containing 452 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Suffolk, and diocese of Norwich, endowed with £400 private benefaction, and £600 parliamentary grant, and in the patronage of certain Trustees. The church is dedicated to St. Michael. There is a place of worship for Independents. Thomas Neale, in 1722. bequeathed land, producing a small income, in support of a free school.
