RINGSFIELD, a parish in the hundred of WANGFORD, county of SUFFOLK, 2 miles (S. W. byW.) from Beccles, containing 280 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, consolidated with Little Redisham, in the archdeaconry of Suffolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £12, and in the patronage of the Rev. Gunton Postle. The church, dedicated to All Saints, is a small ancient building, covered with thatch. There are some remains of the chapel of Little Redisham. This parish enjoys the right of sending two children to the free school at Beccles.
