RINGSTEAD (GREAT), a parish in the hundred of SMITHDON,-county of NORFOLK, 7 miles (W. by S.) from Burnham-Westgate, containing, with the hamlet of Chosell, 453 inhabitants. It comprises the consolidated parishes of St. Andrew and St. Peter, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese of Norwich, the former of which is a discharged rectory, rated in the king's books at £9, and the latter a rectory, rated at £11. 6. 8. H. Styleman, Esq. was patron in 1811.
