RISBY, a parish, joint with Roxby, in the northern division of the wapentake of MANLEY, parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 8 miles (N. W. by N.) from Glandford-Bridge. The population is returned with Roxby. The living is a vicarage, united in 1717 to that of Roxby, in the archdeaconry of Stow, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's ooks at £5. 6. 8. The church is dedicated to St. Bartholomew.
