ROADE, a parish in the hundred of CLELEY, county of NORTHAMPTON, 5 miles (S.) from Northampton, containing 480 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the rectory of Collingtree, in the archdeaconry of Northampton, and diocese of Peterborough, endowed with £200 private benefaction, £600 royal bounty, and £200 parliamentary grant. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. There is a place of worship for Baptists.
