ROCKFIELD, a parish in the lower division of the hundred of SKENFRETH, county of MONMOUTH, 2 miles (N. W.) from Monmouth, containing 335 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Llandaff, rated in the king's books at £4. 3. 1., endowed with £800 royal bounty, and £200 parliamentary grant. Robert Williams, Esq. was patron in 1807. The church is dedicated to St. Kenelm.
