ROCKLAND, a parish in the hundred of HENSTEAD, county of NORFOLK, 6 miles (S. E, by E.) from Norwich, containing 318 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, consolidated with that of St. Margaret, and a mediety of Holverstone, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £6. 13. 4., and in the patronage of the President and Fellows of Queen's College, Cambridge. The churchyard formerly contained two churches j that now in use is dedicated to St. Mary, but that of St. Margaret has been demolished.
