RUMNEY, a parish in the upper division of the hundred of WENTLLOOG, county of MONMOUTH, 3 miles (N. E.) from Cardiff, containing 255 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Llandaff, rated in the king's books at £5. 10. 7., endowed with £600 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Dean and Chapter of Bristol. The church is dedicated to St. Augustine.
