RUNCTON (NORTH), a parish in the Lynn division of the hundred of FREEBRIDGE, county of NORFOLK, 3 miles (S.S.B.) fromLyim-Regis,containing,withthehamlet of Hardwick, 314 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, with that of Hardwick and Setchy, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £8. 10., and in the patronage of the Master and Fellows of Trinity College, Cambridge. The church, dedicated to All Saints, was rebuilt about 1710, the ancient structure having been injured by the fall of its steeple.
