SADDINGTON, a parish in the hundred of GARTREE, county of LEICESTER, 6 miles (N. W. by W.) from Market-Harborough, containing 232 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Leicester, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £ 19- 2. 6., and in the patronage of the Crown. The church is dedicated to St. Helen. The Union canal passes through a tunnel partly in this parish and partly in that of Kibworth-Harcourt.
