LINCOLN, 1 mile (N. by E.) from Alford, containing,
with Thoresthorpe, 235 inhabitants. The living is a
vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln,
rated in the king's books at £ 4, and in the patronage of
the Trustees of Alford school. The church is dedicated
to St. Margaret.
