SAXBY, a parish in the eastern division of the wapentake of ASLACOE, parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 7 miles (W. by S.) from Market-Rasen, containing 105 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books, at £7. 4. 1., endowed with £200 royal bounty, and £200 parliamentary grant, and in the patronage of the Earl of Scarborough. The church is dedicated to St. Helen.
