SAXHAM (GREAT), a parish in the hundred of
THINGOE, county of SUFFOLK, 5 miles ("W. by S.) from
Bury-St. Edmund's, containing 260 inhabitants. The
living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Sudbixry, and
diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at
£11. 13. ll., and in the patronage of Robert Muir,
Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew.
