hundred of MALMESBURY, county of WILTS, 4 miles
(S. S. E.) from Malmesbury, containing 215 inhabitants.
The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry
of Wilts, and diocese of Salisbury, rated in the king's
books at £7. 13. If., endowed with £200 private benefaction,
and £400 royal bounty, and in the patronage
of the Earl of Carnarvon. The church is dedicated to
St. Mary.
