SEAL, a parish in the hundred of CODSHEATH,
lathe of SUTTON at HONE, county of KENT, 2 miles
(N. E.) from Seven-Oaks, containing 1320 inhabitants.
The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the vicarage
of Kemsing, in the archdeaconry and diocese of
Rochester. The church is dedicated to St. Peter. A
school for eight girls is endowed with certain lands,
bequeathed by John Porter, in 1678, and Francis Biekerstaff,
in 1731.
