SEEND, a chapelry in the parish of MELKSHAM, and hundred of
MELKSHAM, county of WILTS, 3 miles (S. E. byE.)
from Melksham, containing 1011 inhabitants. The
chapel is dedicated to the Holy Cross. There is a
place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists. The Kennet
and Avon canal passes through the chapelry.
