SHEREFORD, a parish in the hundred of GALLOW,
county of NORFOLK, 2 miles (W.) from Fakenham,
containing 98 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Norwich,
rated in the king's books at £9, and in the patronage
of Marquis Townshend. The church is dedicated to St.
Nicholas.
