SHORESWOOD, a township in the parish of NORHAM,
otherwise Norhamshire, county palatine of DURHAM,
though locally to the northward of the county of
Northumberland, 6 miles (S. W. by S.) from Berwick
upon Tweed, containing 261 inhabitants, who are chiefly
employed in the adjacent coal mines.
