SKEYTON, a parish in the southern division of the
hundred of ERPINGHAM, county of NORFOLK, 3 miles
(E. by S.) from Aylsham, containing 324 inhabitants.
The living is a discharged rectory, with that of Oxnead
and the vicarage of Buxton annexed, in the archdeaconry
and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at
£9. 10., endowed with £200 royal bounty, and in the
patronage of George Anson, Esq. The church is dedicated
to All Saints.
