SOMERBY, a parish in the wapentake of WINNIBRIGGS-and-THREO,
parts of KESTEVEN, county of LINCOLN,
4 miles (S. E. by E.) from Grantham, containing,
with the hamlet of Great Humby, 246 inhabitants. The
living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of
Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £11. 12. 3., and
in the patronage of Lord Gwydir. The church is dedicated
to St. Mary Magdalene.
