SOTBY, a parish in the eastern division of the
wapentake of WRAGGOE, parts of LINDSEY, county of
LINCOLN, 5 miles (E. by N.) from Wragby, containing
128 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory,
in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in
the king's books at £9. 0. 10., and in the patronage
of the Crown. The church is dedicated to St.
Peter.
