SOUTHWICK, a chapelry in the parish of NORTH-BRADLEY, hundred of WHORWELSDOWN, county of WILTS, 2 miles (S.W. by S.) from Trowbridge, containing 1562 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the vicarage of North Bradley, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Salisbury, endowed with £1200 private benefaction, and £3400 parliamentary grant. There are places of worship for Baptists and Wesleyan Methodists.
